Restaurant Consulting Co was created to fill a gap that founder and manager, Chanelle Reid, could see becoming a growing issue in the hospitality industry.
For a little bit of background, Chanelle lives in South Auckland with her newly-married husband, Matt and has spent over 26 years as a horse rider becoming particularly focused and competitive on the Dressage circuit. Whilst horses have always been a huge part of her life, Chanelle has a few other dominate passions which include business, food and wine and travel.
Chanelle has always been incredibly passionate about business and was drawn specially to marketing from a young age. Finishing high school, Chanelle went on to earn a Bachelor of Hospitality Management Degree with an Event Management Major from AUT University. Having set up her own event management company during University, Chanelle focused on this business before a job opportunity came up to work in one of New Zealand’s most substantial Equestrian retail operations, which lead to experience in sales, customer service and eventually heavily focused on marketing and assisting to run the operation.
Chanelle then decided to combine her skill set in hospitality, customer service, business and marketing to develop a solution for struggling restaurants and cafes. It was becoming more and more noticeable that there were a lot of seemingly straight forward marketing techniques that these businesses are not utilising and are clearly struggling because of it. Although there are a ton of companies out there offering digital and marketing services to businesses, there are not many who are focused on a niche and have the practical and theoretical experience to understand the industry and its needs at a level that will offer premium results for the client. On top of this, Chanelle wants to work closely with the owners of the establishments to identify any other issues that could be affecting their situation.
As an experienced coach, a skill that was honed through over 15 years of coaching Dressage in her spare time, Chanelle has the ability to assess situations, work with the client to establish their desired needs and outcomes, identify pain points and work with the client to come up with a realistic and workable plan that will achieve their goals.
Restaurant Consulting Co has been set up with the family owned and operated small and medium sizes restaurant, café or bar in mind. Chanelle understands the demands of the hospitality industry and running your own business and can offer her unique skill set to become a part of your team and help you find the light at the end of the tunnel. Sometimes, all it takes, is for a fresh set of eyes with fresh ideas to take your hand and work with you on a step by step process to increase your customer base, spend, loyalty and in turn, profits.
